Turning City Data Into Actionable Information

...As part of the City of Phoenix's Innovation and Efficiency savings goal of $100 million, the Public Works Department would contribute to this goal by turning city data into actionable information. The project centered on the goal of the Public Works Department to have a business intelligence system that would allow faster, more accurate, more meaningful information made available to not only management but to the operations divisions within the Public Works Department.
The Public Works Department chose to use an Oracle Exadata Engineered System and Oracle Analytics Suite as the backbone of this business intelligence system. Public Works partnered with LCS Technologies, a Sacramento, CA based firm which specializes in implementing Oracle Solutions to assist with the project.
